8 bottles of Irish whiskey that are a feast for St. Patrick’s Day

Irish WhiskeyIrish whiskey is a must if you’re going to truly celebrate the feast of St. Patrick. Many don’t realize though that the world of Irish whiskey has been growing rapidly, and there is a plethora of great spirits waiting to be consumed. This year turn in the typical shot of Jameson for a nice pour from one of these awesome Irish whiskeys.

The Sexton Single Malt – $26
T100% Irish malted barley and aged four years in sherry butts that punches well past it’s price point.

Tullamore DEW XO Rum Cask Finish – $30
One of my favorite shots gets finished in XO Caribbean rum casks to add tropical fruit and warm spice flavor.

Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition – $30
Bring whiskey & beer together with Jameson finished in Irish pale ale seasoned barrels.

Powers Signature Release Irish Whiskey – $40
Single pot expression aged primarily in bourbon barrels with a splash Oloroso Sherry cask.

Bushmills 10 Year Old Single Malt – $50
Irish whiskey is typically thought of as light, but this is packed with deep and complex characteristics.

Glendalough 13 Year Old Single Malt – $90
The only Irish whiskey aged in rare, vanillin-packed Japanese Mizunara oak packs a unique and lovely flavor.

Yellow Spot 12 Year Old Single Pot Still – $100
Matured in bourbon, Spanish sherry butts, and Spanish Malaga casks combine for an absolutely incredible whiskey.

Redbreast 21 year Old Single Pot Still – $300
Probably the best Irish whiskey to ever touch my lips. Huge, intense, and awesome.
