Spuds MacKenzie Force Ghosts into Bud Light Super Bowl commercial

Spuds MacKenzie was the new hotness when I was a wee young 4-year-old Boozist. That’s a fitting age considering the PC Police alleged at the time that Anheuser-Busch was using the adorable pet to appeal to children. Meanwhile the last decade has proven it’s adults that are obsessed with dog videos and cat pictures. In any case, Spuds MacKenzie lorded over the beer world until he went to live on my aunt’s farm so he had more room to run.

It turns out that you can teach an old dog new tricks though, because Bud Light is bringing Spud MacKenzie back for their new Super Bowl commercial. He’s apparently learned how to use The Force and returns as a ghost to help a lazy POS be more fun. Spuds should really be encouraging the guy to get better friends instead. The proof is in the pants? That cut needs to get cut immediately. I am the world’s worst trivia teammate, and even I am embarrassed for him.

Spuds MacKenzie is voiced by none other than Apollo Creed, which I believe actually makes him the world’s first double ghost.
