Reverse Vesper Martini turns James Bond’s gin soaked martini on his head

Reverse Vesper MartiniJames Bond ordered a laundry list of drinks, but it’s safe to say none of them were the Reverse Vesper Martini. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t drink one though. What better way to convince people that you aren’t a spy?

The Reverse Vesper Martini is as simple as it sounds. Take a typical Vesper Martini and reverse the portions of gin and vodka. It’s perfect for the person who likes a little added flair to their vodka martini but doesn’t want to go all in on gin.

Reverse Vesper Martini

  • 2 oz Belvedere Vodka (unfiltered if you can find it)
  • .75oz Gordon’s Gin
  • .25oz Lillet Blanc

Add all ingredients to a pint glass. Add ice to top of glass and stir for just over 1 minute until properly diluted. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a grapefruit twist.

You can also swap out the Lillet for Cocchi Americano, which is used by many, myself included, because it’s believed to be closer to Bond’s quinine-dosed Kina Lillet. And now here’s Kate Upton and Rita Ora for no particular reason.
