Check out Dos Equis’ new Most Interesting Man


The drinking public has been waiting with bated breath to find out who would take the title of new Most Interesting Man in the World ever since the original, played by Jonathan Goldsmith, was shot into space. OK, so most people weren’t actually waiting, but some of us were curious.

Wait no more because the heir to the throne has been revealed. The new Most Interesting Man is Augustin Legrand, a French guy who speaks both English and Spanish. That already gives him a leg up on most of us. And while his Twitter profile is lacking, assuming I’ve even got the right guy, he’s likely to have many awesome adventures to come. And that’s supposedly going to be one of the big differentiators for the new campaign.

New Most Interesting Man is ready to rock

While the original campaign reminisced about past adventures, the new Most Interesting Man will supposedly be living those adventures. Who wants to relive the glory days when you can be a part of them? The idea reminds me of a couple Heineken commercials (The Entrance, Perfect Date), which isn’t surprising given that Heineken owns Dos Equis.

I’m hoping the woman at the end of the video, or any woman for that matter, becomes his partner in crime throughout the campaign. As Danny Trejo famously said, “You know, times are changing. Ladies can do stuff now and you’re going to learn how to deal with it.”
