Random PR speak be damned, they nailed the profile they sought. The oak and vanilla you always expect from a bourbon comes through right away, which will be a nice security blanket for the drinker who’s typically too scared to stray outside of from bourbon. The malt hits on the palate though, reminding you that you’re still drinking an Irish whiskey. Red Bush subtle and sexy, like a young Lindsay Lohan. It’s also a very cost effective way to sneak a little bourbon into your Irish whiskey if you don’t want to pony up the cash for the ever-so-delightful Bushmills 10-year.
