A Budweiser blind taste test feels like a throwback to the old school Pepsi Challenge, only there wasn’t a second beer to try along side it. Now that I think about it, I really miss the cola wars. Back to modern times, I guess this is more like the Sam Adams blind taste test commercial a few years back. Either way, I’m always skeptical of this type of commercial, but regardless of how much editing it took, the video is a clever way to tout the catchphrases that Budweiser is pushing these days – beer drinkers beer, easy to drink, great on a hot day, etc.
I think we can all agree that everyone should known what they’re drinking the moment the bartender mentions Beechwood though. With the exception of Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, no one else is using that word. Get your shit together, Brooklyn. You should have known it was a Budweiser blind taste test.
