A.J. Pierzynski Admits to Drinking Beers During Games

MLB fans have rally caps, and the ’06 Tigers had rally gum. A.J. Pierzynski tops them all with his admission to Fox Sports’ Katie Nolan that he drinks rally beers during games.

I’ve always irrationally hated A.J. Pierzynski. He’s the MLB’s version of Rasheed Wallace. You absolutely love him if he’s on your team, but the fans of 29 other teams universally hate him. Scientists have yet to determine why this is.

That might change with the revelation that A.J. Pierzynski occasionally throws back a cold one during games. How can you not like a guy who chugs what I assume to be a Miller High Life when he needs to turn up late in a game. I don’t want to use the word hero, but he’s close.
